As if you really needed another reason to chill out with a perfectly shaken marg, we curated a unique, specialty cocktail to celebrate the occasion. #margaritamonth is an awesome event and competition put on by PACIFIC magazine and Milagro Tequila, and we are pumped our perfect new cocktail is up against the creations of over 30 other of SD’s favorite bars and restaurants! Grandma Jilly’s Lavender Margarita is our floral and refreshing concoction perfect for the ultimate chillin’, and we need YOUR help to officially claim its’ title as SD’s favorite margarita!
Featuring house-made lavender syrup (made by our very own bartender, Jillian!) and fresh squeezed lime juice mixed all up with smooth Milagro Silver Tequila, Grandma Jilly’s Lavender Margarita will have you blissed out in no time! Whether you’re sipping our lovely creation on The AC’s colorful Glampisphere patio or searching for chill time amidst one of our epic nights as one of North Park’s favorite dance bars, this mellow fix will certainly get the good times rollin’.
Like we said, we think our new margarita is so DELISH that we entered it in to PACIFIC magazine’s margarita contest this month! Sponsored by Milagro Tequila, this competition features the classic SD cocktail from many different bars/restaurants all over San Diego, so get ready to really celebrate through a month of delicious Milagro tequila paired with out of this world flavors from each establishment! We will be up against an impressive mix of tasty and custom libations, but we are totally up for the challenge with our refreshing take on this popular drink. Come try ours out for yourself! Our featured, delicious margarita will be available at the AC Lounge all month long, but you should definitely join us for a special promo event on Wednesday, May 8th (TOMORROW) from 6 to 8 pm at our bar with the folks at 91X FM! Try out one of our lavender creations, cast your vote on instagram, and you’ll even get a chance to WIN TICKETS to the legendary SoCal Taco Fest on May 18th at Waterfront Park! HAPPY MARGARITA (and basically, tacos?) MONTH!
All of this margarita hype will culminate in the Grand Tasting Event on June 1st sponsored by PACIFIC and Milagro, where the 30+ venues will battle it out to claim the bragging rights for San Diego’s favorite margarita. YOU and 2500+ other attendees will judge who shook the Milagro best by tasting each custom margarita and casting your vote! It takes place at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier from 12 pm to 5 pm, so grab your tickets here asap! There will be live music, dancing, and yummy food galore to compliment the tequila concoctions.
