Hard working, positive, and always there when you need him, what would we do without our guy, Bryan? Our personal ray of sunshine has been working here at The Lounge for just over 4 years. From impeccable barback to a friendly, skilled bartender, Bryan has rocked our North Park dance bar with an eager zest and unparalleled work ethic during his time with us!
Another one of our recruits from the world famous San Diego Zoo, Bryan has risen from diligently cleaning The Lounge every week to being one of our favorite barbacks to the ultimate (and customer favorite!) VIP bottle service host, and now he is commanding his own shifts every Sunday Happy Hour as a wonderful barkeep. An integral part of our bar family, Bryan always keeps the party going!
Outside of his valued time at The Lounge, Bryan has two other full time jobs including managing and construction work. He is the absolute hardest worker we know, barely sleeps a blink, and never ever complains. WHAT A ROCKSTAR. Seriously, we are so grateful to have this superhuman flipping bottles at our eclectic neighborhood bar! This charming San Diego native is also a devoted father to 3: 2 beautiful boys and 1 crazy dog named Cielo. When he doesn’t have his hands full working hard at his 3 jobs or enjoying quality time with his kiddos, Bryan loves to spend the day out on the water fishing and enjoying the SD sunshine.
If all of that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, Bryan also founded his very own event: Bachata Sundays! This is a monthly, popular meetup held on Sunday afternoons once a month at The Lounge and at other locations around San Diego. It features a live DJ, energetic crowd, and lots of bachata dancing, of course. We know what you’re thinking…What the heck is Bachata? It is a smooth, approachable dance style that is perfect for anyone and easy to learn. Absolute beginners groove alongside seasoned pros at Bachata Sundays, and it is a guaranteed good time for all! Come check it out and feel the rhythm yourself, and Bryan will definitely mix you a delicious cocktail and show you a thing or two (the guy can dance!).
So, you know he can bust a move, but what’s Bryan’s favorite cocktail to make? It’s Grandma Jilly’s Lavender Margarita, our award winning cocktail! A simple mix of homemade lavender syrup, Milagro Blanco Tequila, and fresh lime juice makes for a delightfully refreshing and unique beverage that you can drink all day/night long. Check out an upcoming Bachata Sundays event, learn some new dance steps, and then take a break out on our stunning Glampisphere patio with a lavender marg in hand when you need a rejuvenating break!
With his stellar smile, sparkling positivity, and welcoming demeanor, Bryan has certainly gained a fan club here at The Lounge consisting of both customers and coworkers alike! Come on in every Sunday Happy Hour to visit this amazing guy or catch him running around at House Music Fridays and Saturday nights for stellar bottle service and speedy skills as our shining barback/VIP host!
