AC Lounge: Home of SD’s BEST Margarita!
IT’S OFFICIAL, we actually have the undisputed, BEST margarita in San Diego! Every bar/restaurant may claim that, but we have the hardware to prove it after completely dominating PACIFIC magazine’s margarita contest this weekend. With over 30 other competing venues and 3000+ attendees, the month long contest culminated at the Grand Tasting event at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier in Downtown San Diego during the Margarita Festival on June 1st presented by Milagro Tequila. It was a super stiff competition against some of the best bars in San Diego, but our very own Grandma Jilly’s Lavender Margarita took home BOTH the top prizes… YES, BOTH of the top titles! Our tasty Margarita won both People’s Choice & Judge’s Choice, so there is no room for debate, we at The AC Lounge have the ultimate bragging rights as San Diego’s best margarita for 2019!

From the humble kitchen of our star-tender, Jillian, our winning margarita features a ridiculously delicious lavender syrup made with natural sugar and fresh lavender sprigs (straight from Jillian’s lavender plants!). Her homemade concoction is effortlessly shaken with fresh squeezed lime juice and Milagro Blanco Tequila to create the MOST refreshing and SMOOTH cocktail perfect for anytime of the day. With the addition of freshly ground lavender buds and sugar coating the rim, our simple, yet tasty take on San Diego’s classic drink is freakin’ DELISH, and it’s obvious that many people agree!
Grandma Jilly’s Lavender Margarita is so good, that it took home BOTH the Judges’ Choice and People’s’ Choice awards at the sold out competition; in fact, it was the first time in the history of this event that both of the top prizes went to one Margarita entry. We always knew that Jillian’s marg was an epic creation, and now the rest of San Diego agrees with us! After making over 2000 of our winning cocktails at the festival and claiming the title of THE BEST MARGARITA IN SAN DIEGO, to say that we are excited is a huge understatement. We are so proud of Jillian and the rest of our team for representing The Air Conditioned Lounge at such an epic competition and being named CHAMPIONS!
