The Official Adams Avenue Unplugged Wrap-Up Dance Party at AC Lounge

It’s that time of year again… our quaint neighborhood will soon be abuzz with flocking, excited crowds ready to enjoy loads of free music and the unique ambiances within the venues lining a vivacious 2.5 mile stretch of Adams Avenue. Adams Avenue Unplugged will take place on Saturday, April 27th this year, and it is an event that you won’t want to miss! The Air Conditioned Lounge, along with our incredible neighbors, Northpark bars and business friends, will be hosting multiple performances (80 total for the event!) from noon until 10pm all thanks to the great folks at the Adams Avenue Business Association. Following the daytime festivities, The AC Lounge, being one of the only local North Park dance bars, will also be hosting the official afterparty at our venue to keep the party goin’ all night long (keep reading for all the deets)! This musical walkabout is FREE, and gives a unique opportunity to experience the many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and small businesses that make our community so special! Adams Avenue Unplugged is definitely one of our favorite events of the year! The energy is so vibrant, and we love opening our eclectic, colorful space to so many talented musicians and pleasant attendees. With plush seating in multiple lounge areas, an open dance floor, and extensive drink menu/beer list, we are more than ready to accommodate the music-loving crowds for this spectacular event. Since the live bands set up directly on the dance floor, the AC Lounge offers a unique immersion that is truly an intimate musical experience for all. There’s plenty of room inside the club, and if you didn’t already know, we also have a stunning new patio out back, The Glampisphere, that will be available for those of you looking for a VIP experience during the action-packed day. This area will be enhanced with additional drink specials in a relaxing ambience to escape the crowds for a little while, and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather in style. AC Lounge has had a home here for about 15 years, so we have seen this neighborhood consistently evolve into an even more lively, wholesome, and popular destination that just keeps getting better. We love being a part of this community, especially our Normal Heights/North Park family, so we are so proud and excited to be able to open our doors every year and represent our ‘hood. We enthusiastically participate in Adams Avenue Unplugged every year, but the AC Lounge is constantly evolving, whether that’s through the addition of The Glampisphere or the installation of our freshly updated sound system, so we had to ask ourselves: what could we do differently this year for Adams Avenue Unplugged? As we were lounging in our colorful outdoor space, BAM, we realized it was the first year that we had the Glampisphere available for the musical symposium! We have hosted countless celebrations on our new patio since it debuted last summer, so we knew that it would be the perfect place to provide a truly elevated VIP experience for this neighborhood party outside of the typical offerings of other San Diego Clubs! During the Adams Avenue Unplugged festival, a $10 ticket will get you EXCLUSIVE access to The Glampisphere and generous drink specials from 6-10 pm. Flash your ticket and escape to our glamorous outdoor space where you can find draft beers for $1 (WHAT?), get $3 off of our house Moscow Mule, shoot $5 Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey shots, and even receive $20 off any bottle service for this event if you’re feeling extra fancy. The After Party

Staying true to our roots as North Park’s favorite dance bar, The AC Lounge will be also be hosting the official Adams Avenue Unplugged Wrap-Up Dance party! Starting at 10 pm, the lights will go down, the dance floor will be open, and the music will be TURNED UP for everyone to keep the good vibes from the day’s festivities going strong! Straight out of New York City, we brought Hands & Knees with special guest Lady Verse in to heat up our decks for this special night. With her groovy fusion of old school hip-hop and catchy electronic beats, her sound is undeniably infectious and will make you move no matter what! You will have spent the entire day sitting/standing listening to talented musicians at the festival, so you really don’t want to miss this chance to burn off some steam and celebrate our community! With a fun ambience, energetic crowd, and killer music, it is sure to be an epic night!
